Abstract
For too long too many companies have pursued a strategy of lowest cost, least time taken approach to employee training. Particularly training that is required by law by virtue of regulated markets like energy, finance, insurance and telecoms.
This has led to a proliferation of the annual “sheep-dip style” e-learning strategy. Ironically, each year more and more employees enter the job market who have never known anything other than an individual, digital life experience and find this approach to training irrelevant, disrespectful and wholly inadequate and increasingly they resent it.
This paper explores this in more detail and suggests a proven sustainable alternative to the prevailing, ineffective and destructive sheep dip mentality.
